Christmas Memories

Sometimes I like to share my own personal photos.
This year, my son didn't want to do his 3 year old photos.  We tried during Christmas, so maybe it was my own fault, though we did start before guests even started arriving.  I was infinitely happy I brought my camera to Christmas this year though, because I captured all of these beautiful memories.

Please enjoy :)

Family Moments

Don't forget your families this time of year!
Sometimes the best gifts are things you wouldn't normally think about gifting.  Like photos.  This family has never had a family photo taken.  So this year, the daughter decided she'd like to get a full family photo for her grandparents (the first in a little over 5 years) and we added on a generational and the following mini session with her parents, a first ever.
It was a pleasure photographing your family Katrina...thank you!

Katrina & Mike - Engaged!

It was very, very chilly Saturday that we ventured out to the arboretum in Madison for engagement photos. The clouds were rolling in and we were crossing our fingers the snow would hold off just a little bit longer.
Katrina and Mike were so sweet as they snuggled close and teased each other with their cold hands and noses on one another's faces.  They were troopers, truly and we had a great time.
Congratulations guys!  And thank you for a great session.

Gift Cards....who knew?

Who knew you'd all love gift cards so much?
I had this brilliant idea not so long ago after customizing my 4th gift certificate of the year....how about some gift cards!  It was such a hit!  And to all of you that have recently purchased one, thank you so much.  And for those of you who didn't know....now you do!  So let me know if you'd like to purchase one.  So far I have heard amazing things about these and how grateful people are to receive one as their gift.
'Family photos next year and we don't have to buy?!'
'They'll be great for _____'s ___ year photos!'
Etc, etc.  They're the same size as a business card, so they fit great in those little tins you can buy just about everywhere.  And the best part?  Right now....when you buy a gift card....you'll get a $10 print credit for yourself!

Book contests

I'm a sucker for a good book giveaway.  So I blog, post, comment, review and spend endless hours on www.goodreads.com searching for my next good win.  I've got some AMAZING ARCs (Advanced readers copy) out of it.  && I LOVE IT!
Well, here is an interesting twist.....

Take your favorite classic story....and add the supernatural to it. (Like 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies', great read BTW)  Then go tell her all about it!  Honestly....neat concept.  I wonder if anyone is working on any of these  :)  It might be time to write a book :D

Caleb, tucked in

I had the pleasure to shoot a beautiful mommy-to-be a few weeks ago.  A monkey lover after my own heart!  So, we brought out the monkeys and centered on that love for mommy's little monkey, still covered up.  Enjoy  :)

Lydia

Bloggers, meet Lydia!  This adorable baby girl was squirmy and didn't want her bottom uncovered for bottom shots, but she sure looked cute with the polka dot blanket mommy brought to cover her up!  This beautiful little was fresh home from the hospital, just a week old.
